The NATIONAL MAGNETIC RESONANCE SOCIETY of India is organizing its 14th annual meeting at the Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS), Delhi. As a part of NMRS-2008 a special symposium on "Advanced MR Applications" will be held during the first two days which will be dealing with developments and advancements in the frontiers of Biomedical MR with special emphasis on functional, metabolic and neuroimaging. This will be followed by two days of regular NMRS scientific sessions which will include plenary  as well as invited lectures by eminent scientists from various national and international academic institutions and corporate NMR instrument manufacturers. Oral presentation and poster sessions by research scholars and young scientists are also planned. To encourage the students and young scientists, the society would be giving away awards to the students/scientists for poster and oral presentation. The meeting promises to be an interesting event, providing an opportunity to all the participants for a first hand experience about the status of development at the national and international level in the area of MR and provide a platform for the exchange of ideas.
